Oranga Hinengaro

We understand that at times, some people simply wish for a better state of mind, a positive outlook on life and clarity to look ahead towards a bright future.

We all want to be healthy and happy, but sometimes life gets in the way and we need a bit more support.

Our goal is to help Tangata Whaiora (people seeking health) to work through issues that may be affecting their oranga hinengaro (mental well-being), home, whānau or work life.

We offer a range of Mental Health and Addictions services which are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

We have a dedicated and experienced team of staff who work holistically with whānau, to provide support and help them achieve their goals.

We accept referrals from:

• External Agencies

• Self

• Whānau / Friends

• Identified Clinician

• Doctor

• Key Worker

• Internal KE Services

Alcohol and Drug Addiction

Free and confidential counselling for addictions for all individuals over the age of 18 years and whānau.

Self-referrals and agency referrals are accepted.

Free counselling for alcohol and other drug use.

Individual and whānau support sessions.

Group therapies.

Support for whānau dealing with their own or a loved ones substance abuse.

Hiwa-i-te-rangi is the potiki in the Matariki star cluster and holds a lot of mana as this star holds people’s aspirations, dreams and heart desires.

Hiwa-i-te-rangi encourages us to hold firm to our goals, and seek out opportunities to see them realised.

The Hiwa-i-rangi service is available for all individuals over the age of 18 years and

their whanau who may need extra support to work through one or two small humps in life that have become overwhelming and may seem too difficult to deal with right now on their own.

Nga Oranga o Te Rae

Nga Oranga o te Rae is a non-clinical kaupapa Māori Mental Health support service. This service offers one to one support for Tangata Whaiora who have a mental health diagnosis.

One to one support in the home and community Advocacy services

Support to access other health, mental health and social services support.

Day Programme

Te Whānau o Te Rā

This service offers Tangata Whaiora with a diagnosed Mental Health condition the opportunity to participate in day activities that promote independence, encourages improving life and social skills.

Day Programme Activities Include:

• Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga.

• Participation in community activities.

• Education & Life Skills.

• Socialisation.

• Prevocational skills.
